Types of Geothermal Heat Exchangers (Loops)

      Vertical Loop

4" Boreholes are drilled an average of 240 feet deep. Depending on the soil type, there may be one of these bores for every 12,000 BtU (ton) of air conditioning needed. 510' of 3/4" High Density Polyethylene piping is inserted in to the borehole and backfilled.

     Lake Loop

3/4" High Density Polyethylene piping is spread out in frames and floated on the surface. It will sink to the bottom when filled with water.

    Horizontal Loop
